Thomas B. Keller Annual Scholarship Award
Aside from the financial support Brisa Builders provides to many not-for-profit organizations, since the passing of our founder, Thomas B. Keller in 2015, Brisa Builders has provided annual college scholarships, in memory of Mr. Keller, to young men of African descent who are interested in studying fields related to real estate development and/or entrepreneurship. We would like to thank our Platinum Partner in these efforts, Mr. Osei Rubie of National Standard Abstract and our Gold Partners, Mr. Dan Coakley of Property Management Group- Affordable Housing Division, and Mr. Kirk Goodrich of Monadnock Development.
The following outlines the recipients of the college scholarships for the past 10 years, who are all graduates of the Chionesu Bakari (African Dialect meaning- Guiding Light of Noble Promise) Rites of Passage Program which commenced at St Paul’s Community Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York, approximately 18 years ago through the vision of Mr. Horace Moore and the support of Bishop Dr. Johnny Ray Youngblood.
